1-Perform hand hygiene and don protective garb
2-Do not need to explain the procedure.
3-Hyperoxygenate the client after suctioning.
4-Insert the catheter wit suction applied.
5-Listen to breath sounds.
6-Document the procedure and client response
7-Once inserted, apply suction continuously while rotating and withdrawing the catheter.
