NGN Case Q: A 33 year old female client visits the hospital and tell she is camping . She is concerned about bite of infected blacklegged ticks. She has fever, headache, fatigue, and a skin rash. Which nursing interventions are indicated or contraindicated for Lyme disease ? Choose indicated ones?


1-Examine clothes for the presence of ticks

2-Apply warm compresses to swollen

3-Discourage mobility

4-NSAIDs maybe given to reduce inflammation

5-Antibiotics are given before the blood sample

6-Perform a blood test one week after a bite
