NGN Case Q: A 42 year old male client is suspected tuberculosis infection. The client is prepared Tuberculin Skin Test procedure. Which nursing interventions are appropriate or inappropriate for Tuberculin Skin Test (Mantoux test)?
1-Determine previous reactions to skin tests.
2-Apply injection at downer third of on left arm
3-Circle, mark injection test site with indelible ink
4-Advise to scratch test site to prevent infection
5-Instruct the client to washing the test site
6-Assess the reaction at injection site 24 to 48 hours after administration of the test antigen.
